What are your pieces made from?

Solid Sterling Silver. Every piece is tested for purity and hallmarked at Dublin Castle, in accordance with the required standards for precious metals.

Our pieces are not plated or filled. The colour will not rub off. Normal tarnishing can be managed with a gentle silver cloth, or left to develop over time. Read below to learn how to care for your amulet.

Where does the lore come from?

All of the fables you’ll read here are unique, penned by The Curator. Each has special meaning on it’s own, but those with keen eyes and imaginations will notice that some characters don’t stay just within their own myth. The more amulets arrive, the more the legend grows, with each story weaving together into a complete world which we welcome you to be a part of.

How will my piece arrive?

Your amulet's journey to you is a part of its story. It will be laid in our handmade, dark brown box, which is then wrapped in tissue and sealed with a sticker.

Inside, you will find the lore relating to your chosen fable, making it the perfect gift for yourself or another adventurer.

• Discreet Shipping: To protect your treasure's mystique, the outer shipping packaging is discreet and plain.

• A Sustainable Journey: Our boxes (excluding the inner cushion), print materials, shipping materials and tissue can all be recycled. We encourage you to reuse the keepsake box as a safe place to store your amulet when you're not wearing it.

• A Thing of Beauty: Our boxes are handmade by our artisan partner and are free of obvious branding on the outside, which makes them perfect for keeping out on a nightstand or desk. How do I take care of my piece?

Jewellery is precious, and should be treated with care, kindness and a gentle hand. These tips will help keep your amulet shining for many years:

• A Chest for Treasure: When your amulet is not being worn, always return it to its box. This will protect it from scratching and other damage.

• When at Rest: To protect the chain from snags and breaks, it is wise to remove your amulet before sleeping or exercising.

• The Power of Care: If your silver piece begins to tarnish, you can restore its shine with a silver polishing cloth or silver dip. For bronze, remember that the patina is part of your piece’s unique character!

• Avoid Potions & Essences: Keep your amulet away from chemicals that may damage the metal. This includes fragrances, chlorine from pools, and harsh cosmetics. We always recommend applying perfumes, colognes and lotions before donning your jewellery.

How can I return an Amulet?

If for any reason you need to return your Amulet to the Vault, please reach out to us either by email or by using the contact form here. As a consumer within the EU you have a right to return an item for any reason within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. All we ask is that you return your piece in it’s original condition, including packaging. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

What if there is a problem with my piece?

At Relic & Fable, we refuse to compromise on quality. We are meticulous in our design and testing process, and only use the highest quality materials, so it is our hope that your Amulet will stand the test of many ages. However, in the unlikely event that you experience a craft flaw, please reach out to us.

Any issues deemed as craft defects will be covered under our 3 year warranty. Snapped chains, tarnishing and breakages caused by mishandling are not covered by warranty and may incur a repair fee. Please contact us if you would like to discuss a fault or repair.
